We create a healthy relationship based on cooperation and trust rather than force and submission.
Our modern, humane, and scientifically sound approach makes it easy for our clients and their dogs to succeed.
Although we are considered dog trainers, in this position you will be more responsible for teaching the human end of the leash.
Your interactions with the dogs may be limited as many dogs need behavior modification for over excitement, over arousal, fear, etc.
You will not be required to take on any cases you are not ready for.
This is not a position for those who love dogs more than people as our main focus is on teaching the human client to help them understand and build communication with their dog.
Position starts as an apprenticeship and becomes commission based when you are ready to take your own clients (flexible timeline).
Must have availability for at least two late afternoon and evening lessons (4-7pm) a minimum of two days per week as well as Saturdays or Sundays (2-3 clients, 2-3hrs).
Private lessons are held in client homes around the state (you may mostly choose your travel area) as well as at our facility in East Greenwich.
Group classes are held at our facility.
Driver's license and reliable transportation required.
Experience in training, psychology, applied behavior analysis, teaching, etc.
preferred.
