Job Overview - cutting & joining frames on new double miter saw with auto gauge (for measuring) - Glass Cutting (museum, conservation, regular lites) - Mat cutting on computerized cutter - Assembling Frames - Paperbacking artwork - working with machinery & hand tools - ability to measure, read a ruler, and be good with numbers - types of substrates - canvas, paper, mural material etc.
- artwork mounting - artwork fitting - hanging hardware types ( regular, frame secure, cleat, cradle etc.
) - simple knowledge in large format printers - stetching oversized canvases - types of glass/plexiglass - sizer cutting down materials such as foam core, glass, acrylic This position requires common sense and a good work ethic and attitude.
It is fast-paced and is a on-the-go position.
Candidates will possess a meticulous attention to detail and have the experience and knowledge to be able to communicate with the most demanding clients in a deadline driven environment.
Verbal skills are essential.
Applicant must also be able to professionally represent him/herself and the company at all times through supplied corporate clothing.
Art vinyl and graphic installation experience is a plus.
